NatureWatch

NatureWatch Platform in the grounds of the CTAD Clinic base, in Malpas, Cheshire. NatureWatch is a new idea from the clinic staff to encourage our patients into mindful activities by noticing and feeling part of a natural surroundings.

At the Clinic base, we are blessed with various wildlife and beautiful surroundings, from Muscovy ducks (see our YouTube videos on these characters!, hares, pheasants, partridges, moorhens, woodpeckers and so much more.

We plan to have a lake trail and mushroom tours across the gardens and nearby 4 acre paddock. By watching, listening and becoming part of a natural environment, we hope that patients can feel a sense of calm and peace. For some people, this is an ideal setting from which to have therapeutic conversations and walks, as we understand that not every person is suited to the traditional ‘two people in a room’ therapy. The NatureWatch platform is built into a stable block, with seating and part of the Muscovy duck enclosure – so patients can help with feeding and learning about the ducks’ behaviour across the seasons.
